Santa’s Here!

County Mall’s Christmas Grotto Returns

Join Santa in his Festive Fun Factory on selected dates between Saturday November 27th – Thursday 23rd December. Each day from 11am – 4pm unless otherwise specified.

Tuesday 21st December (1pm – 6pm, break at 3:30pm)
Wednesday 22nd December
Thursday 23rd December

The Grotto is free to attend and each child will receive a free gift when they meet Santa.
PLUS, we will be hiding a GOLDEN TICKET in the gift bags on each of the days Santa is here so one lucky child will win a £30 gift card and a goodie bag thanks to our friends at The Entertainer. There are 15 up for grabs so good luck all!

Note: Santa will be here on those dates between 11am – 4pm with a 30 minute break at 1.30pm. The SEN session on 21st December has no break. The 2nd session on 21st December has a 30 minute break at 3:30pm. GOLDEN TICKET prizes must be redeemed on the date of issue which will be clearly marked on the ticket.

Please note, registration does not guarantee entry. The last child will be seen at 4pm each day (21st December: 12pm and 6pm respectively), and the queue may close up to an hour before this time to ensure all children get to see Santa.

Christmas Grotto FAQs

When is The Grotto open?

The Grotto is open between 27th November – 23rd December on selected dates, between 11am – 4pm unless specified otherwise.

When does the Grotto close?

The last child is seen at 4pm (SEN session 21st December at 12pm; 2nd session on 21st December at 6pm). Because of this, on busier days, the queue may be closed earlier to make sure everyone sees Santa, so please arrive early to avoid disappointment.

How much does the Grotto cost?

The Grotto is free for all to attend

Will my child receive a gift?

Each child will receive a gift, suitable for children aged between 3 – 8.

We’ve found a golden ticket! What do we do?

Congratulations! Please take your ticket and visit The Entertainer on the first floor, where you will be given your £30 gift card and goodie bag. This must be collected on the date of issue which is indicated on the ticket.

My child has special needs. Are there any provisions for this?

We have a SEN session on the 21st December, between 9am – 12pm. Here the lights and sounds will be calmed. We also hold SEN friendly sessions on Friday, open to all, as these dates will be less busy and quieter than the weekends.

When does Santa take his break?

Each day, Father Christmas will take his break at 1:30pm. The break will last for 30 mins. You are welcome to remain in the queue during this time.

Can we visit the Grotto when Santa isn’t in County Mall?

You can! Santa’s Festive Fun Factory is an open Multi-sensory experience when Santa isn’t in and busy getting the presents ready! Just pop in during the shopping centre’s opening hours. The Festive Fun Factory will be closed from 26th December.
