Peter Rabbit wows Shoppers!
Peter Rabbit attracts over 1000 shoppers to Crawley Shopping Centre
On Wednesday 4th April, the most mischievous bunny on the block that is, Peter Rabbit, attracted more than 1000 visitors into County Mall Shopping Centre, Crawley. Since the film was released in February, the Peter Rabbit craze has run wild with promotional merchandise filling the shelves of most stores.
County Mall made tickets available to see the ‘star’ during the Easter holidays, and the crowds were phenomenal. Set within Mr McGregor’s Garden, children could meet and greet the character throughout the day and have their photos taken with the much loved Rabbit, followed by an exclusive narrated session where children listened to Peter Rabbit stories and participated in some fun games with the bunny himself.
Memorabilia from F.Hinds, Toy Barnhaus and Paperchase was in high demand as souvenirs were purchased throughout the day.
Centre Manager Mark Haynes commented, “We were so thrilled with the turnout to see Peter Rabbit. Children were in awe of the character and it was a magical experience to see so many happy faces. It’s important to us to run great activities during the school holidays to give families the extra excuse they need to check out everything we have to offer at County Mall, and this event certainly did not disappoint. Alongside the recent opening of our new, bigger,Superdry store, it’s been an exciting week for us in the centre.
We’ve also got next week’s kids club to look forward to! We look forward to welcoming shoppers back to the centre soon!”
On Wednesday 11th April (11am – 4pm) children can make their very own “Burrowing Bunnies” at the Busy Bee kids club. It’s free to participate but parents must be signed up to the kids club. The centre is also running a “Hidden Veggies” trail, find all vegetables around the centre to win one of FIVE £50 gift vouchers. Terms and conditions apply.
