We provide manual wheelchairs, battery operated powerchairs and battery operated scooters for individuals with permanent or temporary disabilities.
Charges:
- £30 per year payable in two instalments on 1st July and 1st January + hire charge
- Hire fees = £3.00 per half day or £5.00 all day.
- Casual Hire is also available. Scooters & Power chairs £8, Manual Wheelchairs £5. Manual wheelchairs are also available for long-term hire at £30 per week.
Booking is essential for all equipment. A form of identification is required to register for the use of the scheme, ie. bank statement, utility bill etc. All new clients will be asked to undergo an assessment to ensure their safety and ability to use the vehicle. Guidance on how to use the vehicle safely is given.
Shopmobility has six parking spaces which are not blue badge, solely for the use of our registered clients. Parking is also required to be booked in advance.
